Accessory Brackets Replacement Left

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 391682  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect both the battery negative cables from the batteries.
  2. • For the front battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
    • For the auxiliary battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the drive belt from the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the air conditioning compressor from the accessory bracket (if equipped), and position to the side.
  6. Remove the idler pulley assembly (if vehicle is not equipped with A/C) from the left accessory bracket. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  7. Remove the auxiliary generator (if equipped) from the accessory bracket. Refer to Auxiliary Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  8. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  9. Remove the engine cooling fan from the vehicle. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  11. Remove the heater hose from the thermostat housing and position out of the way.
  12. Remove the thermostat housing crossover from the cylinder heads. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  13. Remover the power steering pump from the accessory bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Steering.

  15. Remove the bolts from the accessory bracket.
  16. Remove the accessory bracket from the engine block.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 59794  Size: SH
  1. Install the accessory bracket to the engine block.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the accessory bracket bolts to the cylinder head.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the power steering pump to the accessory bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Steering.
  6. Install the thermostat housing crossover to the cylinder heads. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  8. Install the heater hose to the thermostat housing.
  9. Install the A/C compressor the accessory bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement in HVAC.

  10. Object Number: 391682  Size: SH
  11. Install the idler pulley assembly (if vehicle is not equipped with A/C) to the left accessory bracket. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  12. Install the auxiliary generator (if equipped) to the left accessory bracket. Refer to Auxiliary Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  13. Install the engine cooling fan to the vehicle. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement In Engine Cooling.
  14. Install the drive belt on the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  15. Install the fan shroud in the vehicle. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  16. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  17. Connect both the battery negative cables to the batteries.
  18. • For the front battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
    • For the auxiliary battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.

Accessory Brackets Replacement Right

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105622  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect both the battery negative cables from the batteries.
  2. • For the front battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
    • For the auxiliary battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the drive belt from the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the generator from the accessory bracket. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner from the accessory bracket. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  7. Remove the vacuum pump from the accessory bracket. Refer to Vacuum Pump Replacement .
  8. Remove the accessory bracket bolts from the engine block.
  9. Remove the accessory bracket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the accessory bracket to the vehicle.

  5. Install the vacuum pump to the accessory bracket. Refer to Vacuum Pump Replacement .
  6. Install the drive belt tensioner to the right accessory bracket. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  7. Install the generator to the accessory bracket. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  8. Install the drive belt on the pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Install the fan shroud to the radiator. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  10. Connect both the battery negative cables to the batteries.
  11. • For the front battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
    • For the auxiliary battery, refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
