Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  3. Remove the serpentine belt from the generator. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  4. Remove the generator bracket from the vehicle. Refer to Accessory Brackets Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

    5. Object Number: 184024 Size: SH
  5. Remove the nut and battery cable from the generator.
  6. Remove the electrical connector from the generator.
  7. Remove the generator brace from the vehicle. Refer to Generator Brace Replacement - Auxiliary in Engine Electrical.

    8. Object Number: 163784 Size: SH
  8. Remove the generator from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 163784 Size: SH
  1. Install the generator to the vehicle.
  2. Install the generator brace to the vehicle. Refer to Generator Brace Replacement - Auxiliary in Engine Electrical.

    3. Object Number: 184024 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the generator.
  4. Install the nut and battery cable to the generator.
  5. Install the generator bracket to the vehicle. Refer to Accessory Brackets Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  6. Install the serpentine belt to the generator. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  7. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
