Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement 1.6L LXV

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.

    3. Object Number: 2026830 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe bolts (1).
  4. Remove the engine oil cooler outlet pipe (2) from the engine oil cooler housing and the engine coolant thermostat housing.
  5. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe gaskets.

Installation Procedure
  1. Clean the engine oil cooler outlet pipe sealing surfaces.
  2. Install the 2 NEW engine oil cooler outlet pipe gaskets.

    3. Object Number: 2026830 Size: SH
  3. Install the engine oil cooler outlet pipe (2) to the engine oil cooler housing and the engine coolant thermostat housing.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe bolts (1) and tighten to  8 N·m (71 lb in).
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  6. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement.

Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement 2.0L Diesel LLW

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement.
  2. Drain engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 2028315 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler hose heat shield nuts (1).
  4. Remove the engine oil cooler hose heat shield bolt (3).
  5. Remove the engine oil cooler hose heat shield (2).

    6. Object Number: 2028316 Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler outlet hose clamps (2).
  7. Remove the engine oil cooler outlet hose (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2028316 Size: SH
  1. Install the 2 engine oil cooler outlet hose (1).
  2. Install the engine oil cooler outlet hose clamps (2).

    3. Object Number: 2028315 Size: SH
  3. Install the engine oil cooler hose heat shield (2).

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 engine oil cooler hose heat shield nuts (1) and tighten to 33 N·m (25 lb ft).
  5. Install the engine oil cooler hose heat shield bolt (3) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  6. Fill engine oil. Refer to Engine Block Disassemble.
  7. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement.
