  1. Adjust the instrument panel (IP) dimmer switch to maximum brightness.
  2. Disconnect the connector at the multi-function alarm module.
  3. Connect a unpowered test lamp between the multi-function alarm module connector, cavity A1 for CKT 8 (GRY), and ground.
  4. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the multi-function alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 8 (GRY) between splice S223 and the multi-function alarm module.

  1. Adjust the IP dimmer switch to maximum brightness.
  2. Disconnect the connector C1 at the multi-function alarm module.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the multi-function alarm module connector C1 Cavity A1 for CKT 8 (GRY) and ground.
  4. Place the headlamp switch in the parking lamps or headlamp position.

Repair the open in either CKT 8 (GRY) between the IP dimmer switch and the multi-function alarm module or in CKT 44 (DK GRN) between the IP dimmer switch and ILLUM fuse 14.
