Did you perform the Audible Warning System Check?

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

1. Remove the audio alarm module.
2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
3. Turn the headlamps switch to the ON position.
4. Connect a voltmeter from CKT 39 (PNK) cavity K4 at the convenience center to ground.

Is there battery voltage?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Connect a DMM from CKT 8 (GRY) cavity J1 at the convenience center to ground.

Is there battery voltage?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the convenience center and the instrument panel (IP) fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

Connect a DMM J 39200 from the audio alarm module CKT 550 (BLK) cavity  K2 to ground.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

1. Remove the ILLUM fuse #14 from the IP fuse block.
2. Inspect the fuse.

Is the fuse open?

--

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 7

Connect a DMM J 39200 from cavity D4 at the IP fuse block to ground.

Is there any voltage?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 11

Replace the audio alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

Repair the open in CKT  550 (BLK) between the convenience center and grounds G105/G107.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

Repair the open in CKT 8 (GRY) between the IP fuse flock and the convenience center.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

Repair the open in CKT 44 (DK GRN) between the IP fuse block cavity D4 and the headlamp and panel dimmer switch. Refer to the Instrument Panel Dimming Diagnostic Tables for more information.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

1. Locate and repair short to ground in CKT 8 (GRY).
2. Replace the fuse.
