Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

  1. Remove the selectable ride switch from the instrument panel. Refer to Electronic Suspension Switch Replacement .
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Ensure the selectable ride switch is in the ON or FIRM position.
  4. Connect a test lamp and back probe between the selectable ride switch control circuit and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Connect a test lamp and back probe, between the ignition 1 voltage circuit and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Turn OFF the ignition .
  2. Disconnect the selectable ride switch.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the selectable ride switch indicator ground circuit and a battery positive voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in the ignition 1 voltage circuit between the selectable ride switch and Body Wiring Harness Junction Block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open selectable ride switch indicator ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the selectable ride switch. Refer to Electronic Suspension Switch Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
