Removal Procedure
  1. Open hood.
  2. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 2027687 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 4 glow plug wiring harness plugs (1).

    5. Object Number: 2027686 Size: SH
  5. Remove the 4 glow plugs (1).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2027686 Size: SH
  1. Install the 4 glow plugs and tighten to  9 N·m (80 lb in).

    2. Object Number: 2027687 Size: SH
  2. Install the 4 glow plug wiring harness plugs.
  3. Install the engine lift bracket nut and tighten to  28 N·m (21 lb ft).
  4. Install the 3 glow plug heat shield bolts and tighten to  20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  5. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement.
  6. Install the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.
  7. Close hood.
