Preliminary Procedure

Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.

Engine Lift Bracket Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
28 N·m (21 lb ft)

Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Bolts (Qty: 3)

Tighten
20 N·m (15 lb ft)

Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement 1.6L LXV

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Object Number: 2027674 Size: SH
  2. Remove the wiring harness bracket bolt (2) and the wiring harness bracket (1).
  3. Remove the 2 exhaust manifold heat shield bolts (4).
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2027674 Size: SH
  1. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield (3).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 2 exhaust manifold heat shield bolts (4) and tighten to  8 N·m (71 lb in).
  3. Install the wiring harness bracket (1) and the 3 bolts (2) and tighten to  15 N·m (11 lb ft).
  4. Close the hood.
