Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement.
  2. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor wiring harness plug.
  3. Remove the engine oil cooler coolant Inlet hose. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Hose Removal.
  4. Remove the engine oil cooler coolant outlet hose. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Hose Removal.
  5. Remove the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Removal.
  6. Remove the oil pump drive shaft seal. Refer to Oil Pump Drive Shaft Seal Removal.

  7. Object Number: 2027631  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 7 oil pump housing bolts (2).
  9. Remove the oil pump housing (1).
  10. Remove the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Disassemble.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the oil pump. Refer to Oil Pump Assemble.

  2. Object Number: 2027226  Size: SH

    Note: Ensure that the oil pump housing surface is clear of oil, grease and old gasket material.

  3. Coat sealant on the oil pump sealing surface (1).

  4. Object Number: 2027631  Size: SH
  5. Install oil pump housing (1).
  6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  7. Install the 7 oil pump housing bolts (2) and tighten to  24 N·m (18 lb ft).
  8. Install a NEW oil pump drive shaft seal. Refer to Oil Pump Drive Shaft Seal Installation.
  9. Install the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Installation.
  10. Install the engine oil pressure sensor wiring harness plug.
  11. Install the engine oil cooler coolant outlet hose. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Outlet Hose Installation.
  12. Install the engine oil cooler coolant Inlet hose. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Hose Installation.
  13. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement.
