Preliminary Procedure

Remove the driver knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement.

Instrument Panel Trim Plate

Procedure

1. Position the steering wheel to its lowest possible position.
2. Use a flat- bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the trim plate from the instrument panel assembly.
3. Disconnect the electrical connections.
4. When replacing the trim plate, transfer all necessary components.

Retainer Clip (Qty: 5)

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the left windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement - Left Side.
2. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel with windshield defroster nozzle. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel with Windshield Defroster Nozzle Grille Replacement.
3. Remove the left instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Access Hole Cover Replacement.

Instrument Panel Left Trim Panel Screw (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)
