Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224998 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electric exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve connector.
  4. Remove the EGR valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224998 Size: SH
  1. Install the EGR valve.
  2. Connect the EGR valve connector.
  3. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
