Removal Procedure - Sensor Rear
- Remove the rear bumper fascia assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Disconnect the rear object alarm sensor electrical connectors (1) from the rear object alarm sensors.
- Remove the rear object alarm sensor (2) from the rear object alarm sensor housing (3).
Important: Lift the top and bottom housing tabs (1) to release the rear object alarm sensor (2) from the rear object alarm sensor housing (3).
Installation Procedure - Sensor Rear
- Locate the top and bottom housing tabs (1) to install the rear object sensor alarm sensor (2) to the rear object sensor alarm sensor housing (3)
- Press the rear object alarm sensor bezel flush to the fascia.
- Connect the rear object alarm sensor electrical connectors (1) to the rear object alarm sensors.
- Install the rear bumper fascia assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
Important: Replacement rear object alarm sensors (2) are pre-painted in the vehicles body colour. Do not apply any further paint to the rear object alarm sensor (2) as this may affect system operation.
Important: Ensure that the rear object alarm sensor (2) is installed correctly.
Removal Procedure - Wiring Harness Rear
- Remove rear bumper fascia assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Disconnect the rear object alarm sensor electrical connectors (1) from the rear object alarm sensors.
- Remove the rear object alarm sensor wiring harness from bumper fascia connectors (1).
Important: If required use a suitable tool to pry the wiring harness away from bumper fascia connectors (1).
Installation Procedure - Wiring Harness Rear
- Install the rear object alarm sensor wiring harness to bumper fascia connectors (1).
- Connect the rear object alarm sensor electrical connectors (1) to the rear object alarm sensors.
- Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
