Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
- Disconnect the roof rail air bag connector.
- Remove the nuts and the assist grip bracket on the upside of the front and rear door.
- Remove the bolts near the upside of the front door.
- Remove the bolts near the upside of the A-pillar.
- Remove the bolts near the upside of the rear door and the B-pillar.
- Remove the bolts from the inflator near C-pillar.
- Remove the roof rail module.
Caution: Refer to Sensing and Diagnostic Module Handling Caution in the Preface section.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Install the roof rail module.
- Install the bolts to the inflator near C-pillar.
- Install the bolts near the upside of the rear door and the B-pillar.
- Install the bolts near the upside of the front door and A-pillar.
- Install the assist grip bracket. Secure with nuts.
- Connect the roof rail air bag connector.
- Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the passenger air bag mounting bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the passenger air bag mounting bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the passenger air bag mounting bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
