J 21104-B   ( KM 475-A ) Weatherstrip Remover Universal or equivalent

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the sunroof molding, if equipped.
  3. Remove the passenger assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
  4. Remove the plastic retaining clips in the headliner on the driver side.
  5. Remove the sun visors. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  6. Remove the power sunroof control switch, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
  7. Remove the windshield pillar, the upper and lower center pillar and the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement , Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement , Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement , and Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 1256858  Size: SH
  9. Remove the plastic retainers in the headliner using the J 21104-B  (1).
  10. Recline both front seats.
  11. Remove the headliner through a rear door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1256862  Size: SH
  1. Recline both front seats.
  2. Insert the headliner through a rear door.
  3. Install the headliner behind the seats around the doors.
  4. Install the plastic retainers.

  6. Install the windshield pillar, the upper and lower center pillar and the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement , Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement , Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement , and Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the power sunroof control switch, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
  8. Install the sun visors. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  9. Install the plastic retainers in the headliner on the driver side.
  10. Install the passenger assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
  11. Install the sunroof molding, if equipped.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable.
