Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the front hub unit from the steering knuckle assembly, because the wheel speed sensor is not serviceable separately. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement in Front Suspension.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front hub unit. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement in Front Suspension.
- Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Important: The wheel speed sensor is served as an assembly, hub-wheel speed sensor. Therefore, the additional working procedure for air gap is not needed.
