Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1786183 Size: SH
  1. Remove the A/C module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  3. Remove the screws that secure the evaporator case halves.
  4. Remove the evaporator core case cover.

    5. Object Number: 1786184 Size: SH
  5. Remove the evaporator core from the case.
  6. Remove the air conditioning expansion valve. Refer to Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement .
  7. Remove the thermister from the evaporator core.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1786184 Size: SH
  1. Install the O-rings onto the evaporator tubes.
  2. Install the A/C expansion valve. Refer to Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement .
  3. Install the thermister to the evaporator core.

    4. Object Number: 1786183 Size: SH
  4. Install the evaporator core into the case. Center the evaporator flange in the case opening.
  5. Assemble the evaporator case halves with the screws.
  6. Install the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  7. Install the A/C module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
