  1. Use a scan tool to view the BFC INPUTS menu.
  2. Repeatedly open and close the right front door.

Did the right front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

Go to Courtesy Lamps Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the right front door open switch connector.
  2. Use a fused jumper in order to ground the right front door open switch harness connector CKT 395 terminal D.
  3. Use a scan tool in order to view the BFC INPUTS menu.

Did the right front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

--

Go to Step 3

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the right front door open switch connector terminal A and the ground splice pack G302.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 12

  1. Disconnect the right front door lock switch connector.
  2. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the right front door open switch connector terminal A and the right front door lock switch connector terminal D.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 650 between the right front door open switch connector terminal B and the right front door lock switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance in CKT 650 between the right front door lock switch connector terminal D and ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Replace the right front door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 650 between the right front door lock switch connector terminal D and the ground splice pack G302. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Use a scan tool in order to view the BFC INPUTS menu.
  2. Disconnect the right IP junction block connector C3.
  3. Use a fused jumper in order to ground CKT 395 at the right IP junction block connector C3 terminal C11.

Did the right front door switch input toggle ON and OFF?

Repair the open in CKT 395 between the right IP junction block connector C3 terminal C11 and the right front door open switch harness connector terminal D. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
