Circuit Description

When the PZM receives a serial data message that the transaxle is in park, the PZM grounds CKT 434 (ORN/BLK) enabling the PARK relay. The PZM monitors this output and determines the actual voltage.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The PZM determines that CKT 434 (ORN/BLK) is shorted to ground.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The PZM will continue commanding the requested state until the state is achieved or until the request changes.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The PZM determines that CKT 434 (ORN/BLK) is no longer shorted to ground.

  1. Disconnect the PZM.
  2. Disconnect the PARK relay.
  3. Measure the voltage from the PZM connector C2 terminal C15 to ground.

Is voltage present?

Repair the short to battery positive voltage in CKT 434 (ORN/BLK).

Is the repair complete?
