Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or to Split Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the center console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.

  4. Remove the carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement for the rear Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  5. Remove the both instrument panel insulators. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side and Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  6. Remove the trim panel from the lower center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Remove the quarter lower trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

  8. Reposition the front and rear door weatherstrips and remove the carpet retainers (1) from the clips.
  9. Remove the carpet from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

  1. Install the carpet into the vehicle.

    2. Reach under the carpet and feed the following connectors through the slits in the carpet where required:

    • The power seat adjusters
    • The vacuum connector
    • The seat belt warning wire connector
  2. Install the carpet retainers over the clips on top of the rocker panels.

    3. Install the door weatherstrips.

  3. Install the quarter lower trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Install the trim panel to the lower center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

  5. Install the carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement for the rear Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  6. Install both instrument panel insulators. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side and Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  8. Install the center console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  9. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or to Split Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
