Verify that the front fog lamp indicator is inoperative.

Does the front fog lamp indicator operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the HEAD position.
  3. Activate the front fog lamp switch.

Do the front fog lamps function properly?

Go to Step 4

Using a scan tool, select instrument panel cluster (IPC), Special Functions, and command the Lamp Test ON, then OFF.

Does the front fog lamp indicator lamp turn ON and OFF when commanded?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 5

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the IPC. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the IPC. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.
