Front Fender Wheel Opening Molding Replacement Pontiac

1. Remove the screws from the lower rear of the fender wheel opening molding.



2. Remove the push-in retainer from the front of the fender molding. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia in Bumpers.
3. Pull the fender wheel opening molding from the fender releasing the retainers in the fender wheel opening molding.
4. Remove the fender wheel opening molding from the fender.

1. Align the fender wheel opening molding to the holes in the fender.



2. Press down on the fender wheel opening molding in order to snap in the retainers to the fender.
3. Install the push-in retainer to the front of the fender opening molding.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the screws to the lower rear of the fender wheel opening molding.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
