  1. Disconnect inoperative door lock actuator motor electrical connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the inoperative door lock harness connector terminals A an B.
  3. Verify that the sliding door(s) are closed when diagnosing an actuator motor on a sliding door.
  4. While observing the test lamp, press either door lock switch to the UNLOCK position.

Does the test lamp flash once upon pressing UNLOCK?

  1. Connect a test lamp between inoperative door lock harness connector terminal A (terminal B on sliding door) and ground.
  2. While observing the test lamp, press either door lock switch to the UNLOCK position.

Does the test lamp flash once upon pressing UNLOCK?

Replace the inoperative door lock actuator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Automatic Door Locks System Check

    • Check door lock switch plate plungers and striker for good connection.
    • If OK, repair poor connection or open in circuit 295.

Repair poor connection or open in:

    • Driver's door lock: circuit 694.
    • Passenger door locks: circuit 294.
    • When diagnosing sliding doors actuator motors, check door lock switch plate plungers and striker for good connection.
