Front Side Door Adjustment Door Side

  1. Loosen 2 (13-mm) bolts from the upper and lower door side hinge.
  2. Do NOT remove the bolts.

  3. Adjust the door as needed by repositioning the door in the following manner:
  4. • Up or down
    • In or out

Installation Procedure

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the 2 (13-mm) bolts to the upper and lower door side hinge.

Tighten
Tighten the 13-mm bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

Front Side Door Adjustment Body Side

  1. Remove the front fender liner in order to gain access to the body side hinge bolts. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement .
  2. Loosen the 13 mm upper and lower body side hinge bolts (1) .
  3. Do not remove the bolts.

  4. Loosen the 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (2) .
  5. Do not remove the bolt.

  6. Adjust the door fore and aft in order to reposition the door as needed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (2) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the two (1) 13 mm upper and lower body side hinge bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts (1) to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement .
