Check the IGN 1 Fuse in the fuse block for an open.

Is the IGN 1 Fuse open?

Repair the short to ground in circuit 39.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

--

System OK

1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C1.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Using a test lamp, probe between the instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal I and ground.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

1. Check for a poor connection at the instrument cluster.
2. If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

System OK

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 39 between the fuse block terminal F4 and the instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal I.
