Use a test lamp in order to backprobe connector C205 between terminal B to ground.

  1. Repair the following conditions in CKT 1244 between the fuse block terminal J10 and C205 terminal B.
    2. • A poor connection
    • An open
  2. Inspect the system.

Is the symptom still present?

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe connector C205 between terminal B and terminal D.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Repair the following conditions in CKT 1450 between C205 terminal D and G200:
    2. • A poor connection
    • An open
  2. Inspect the system.

Is the symptom still present?

  1. Disconnect the steering wheel radio control switches
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil terminal B to terminal D.

Did the test lamp light?

  1. Replace the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Replacement in SIR.
  2. Inspect the system.
