Turn the headlamp/instrument panel (IP) lamp dimmer switch to the PARK position.

The following lamps light:

    • The license plate lamps
    • The taillight lamps
    • The front side marker lamps (Domestic)
    • The front parking lamps (Domestic)
        The headlamp position lamps (Export)

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Move the turn signal switch to the LH position and to the RH position.

The turn signal lamps flash on and off continuously for each side.

Turn the hazard lamp switch to the ON position.

    • The following lamps continuously flash:
       - The front turn signals
       - The rear turn signals
    • The front marker lamps continuously flash on and off.

  1. Turn the hazard switch to the OFF position.
  2. Turn the headlamp/instrument panel (IP) lamp dimmer switch to the PARK position.
  3. Depress the brake pedal.

The following lamps light:

    • The front side marker lamps (Domestic)
    • The front parking lamps (Domestic)
    • The headlamp position lamps (Export)
    • The taillight lamps
    • The license plate lamps
    • The center high-mounted stop lamp (at the maximum intensity)
    • The stop lamps (at the maximum intensity)

Release the brake pedal.

    • The following lamps light:
       - The front side marker lamps (Domestic)
       - The front parking lamps (Domestic)
       - The headlamp position lamps (Export)
       - The taillight lamps
       - The license plate lamps
    • The following lamps do not light:
       - The center high-mounted stop lamp
       - The stop lamps

Turn the head lamp/IP dimmer switch to the OFF position.

The following lamps do not light:

    • The front side marker lamps (Domestic)
    • The front parking lamps (Domestic)
    • The headlamp position lamps (Export)
    • The taillight lamps
    • The license plate lamps

For domestic vehicles:

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

For Export Vehicles with DRL:

  1. Start the engine.
  2. Allow engine to Idle.

The daytime running lamps (DRL) light.

For domestic vehicles:

    • In daylight, the front turn signal lamps light without flashing
    • In low ambient light:
      • The front turn signal lamps are off
      • The low beam headlamps light
      • The parking lamps light

For EXPORT vehicles:

    • The headlamps light
    • The tail lamps light

  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  2. Set the parking brake.
  3. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.

The DRL is OFF.
