  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Release the park brake.
  3. Apply a bright light to the DRL ambient light sensor.

Do the front turn signal lamps light?

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the DRL control module harness connector C2 terminal C and ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Repair the following conditions in CKT 1839:

    • A faulty connection

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the DRL control module harness connector C2 terminal F and ground.

    • A faulty connection
    • An open circuit

Did the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the parking brake indicator switch.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between B+ and the DRL control module harness connector C2 terminal E.

Did the test lamp light?

  1. Adjust or replace the parking brake indicator switch. Refer to Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement in Park Brake.
  2. Inspect the system.
