DTC Descriptor

DTC P2536: Ignition Accessory Switch Circuit

Circuit Description

The engine control module (ECM) monitors the accessory voltage circuit and compares the voltage status with the information received from the body control module (BCM) via CAN serial data. If the ECM detects that the CAN voltage status information does not match the actual voltage feedback on the accessory voltage circuit, the DTC will be set.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition switch is ACC.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects power mode master accessory terminal status does not match the ignition switch position.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC P2536 is type C DTC. Refer to Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Type Definitions.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

DTC P2536 is type C DTC. Refer to Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Type Definitions.
