Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820502 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1820589 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.
  4. Remove the ECT sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820589 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the ECT sensor to 35 N·m (25.8 lb ft).

  2. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1820502 Size: SH
  3. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
