Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820606 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the beauty cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
  3. Disconnect the ECM connectors.
  4. Press the ECM retaining clip between the ECM and bracket using by common plate driver and simultaneously extract the ECM from the bracket upward.

    5. Object Number: 1820675 Size: SH
  5. Remove the ECM bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820675 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECM bracket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the ECM bracket retaining nuts to 15 N·m (11.1 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1820606 Size: SH
  2. Install the ECM.

    3. Important: If replaced the new ECM, reprogram the ECM for the injectors using by scan tool.

  3. Connect the ECM connectors.
  4. Install the beauty cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
