Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 926677 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector, if equipped.

    5. Object Number: 931451 Size: SH
  5. Remove the wheel speed sensor electrical connector, if equipped, from the connector bracket.

    6. Object Number: 1768745 Size: SH
  6. Remove the front hub nut.
  7. Support the wheel drive shaft with heavy mechanic's wire or equivalent.

    8. Object Number: 1768756 Size: SH
  8. Remove and discard the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts.
  9. Remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly from the steering knuckle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1768756 Size: SH
  1. Install the wheel bearing/hub assembly to the steering knuckle with the bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the hub to knuckle bolts to 115 N·m (85 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1768745 Size: SH
  2. Install the hub nut to the axle shaft.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the hub nut to 205 N·m (157 lb ft).

  3. Remove the mechanic's wire from the wheel drive shaft.

    4. Object Number: 931451 Size: SH
  4. Install the wheel speed sensor electrical connector, if equipped, to the mounting bracket.

    5. Object Number: 926677 Size: SH
  5. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector, if equipped.
  6. Install the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .
  7. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
