Special Tools

1. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement .
2. Remove the intake manifold.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold.
4. Remove the vacuum pump.
5. Remove the camshaft sprocket.



6. Remove the camshaft cap.
7. Remove the camshaft.



8. Remove the intake/exhaust roller finger-followers.
9. Remove the intake/exhaust valve bridge.
10. Remove the intake/exhaust valve lash adjuster.



11. Install the EN 47518  (a) with the EN-48247  (b) to the cylinder head.
12. Turn the handle of the EN 47518 for compressing the valve spring.
13. Remove the valve key.
14. Remove the valve spring retainer.
15. Remove the valve spring.
16. Remove the valves.



17. Remove the valve stem oil seal.
18. Inspect and clean the cylinder head and components. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection .
