Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1760897  Size: SH

    Caution: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.

  1. Disconnect the canister fuel vapor hoses from the canister.

  2. Object Number: 1760894  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent hose from the EVAP canister filter

  4. Object Number: 1760900  Size: SH
  5. Remove the EVAP canister bracket retaining nuts and the EVAP canister assembly.
  6. Separate the canister from the EVAP canister bracket.
  7. Remove the canister.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1760900  Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister onto the EVAP canister bracket.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the EVAP canister assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the EVAP canister bracket retaining nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Connect the EVAP canister vent hose to the EVAP canister filter.

  7. Connect the canister fuel vapor hoses to the canister.
