Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer toFuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in engine mechanical.

    2. Object Number: 73898 Size: SH
  2. Note the position of the hoses for installation.
  3. Discinect the electrical connector and hoses from the purge valve.
  4. Release the lock tab on the purge valve mounting bracket.
  5. Remove the Purge valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 73898 Size: SH
  1. Bend tab on mounting bracket to retain the EVAP purge valve.
  2. Install the purge valve on the purge valve mounting bracket.
  3. Once installed pull on the purge valve to ensure that the part is secure.
  4. Connect the electrical connector and hoses to purge valve.
  5. Reinstall the fuel injection sight shield. Refer toFuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in engine mechanical.
