Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sliding door rear lock. Refer to Sliding Door Rear Lock Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 471997  Size: SH
  3. Remove the detent switch retaining screw from the body side of the lock.
  4. Pull the detent switch from the locating hole on the lock.

  5. Object Number: 472002  Size: SH
  6. Rotate and pull the detent switch arm from the lock arm.

  7. Object Number: 471994  Size: SH
  8. Remove the detent switch from the lock.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 471994  Size: SH
  1. Install the detent switch to the lock.
  2. Push the detent switch arm into the lock arm.
  3. Align the detent switch locating pin with the locating hole on the lock.

  4. Object Number: 471997  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the detent switch retaining screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining screw to .9 N·m ( 8.5 lb in).

  7. Install the sliding door rear lock to the sliding door. Refer to Sliding Door Rear Lock Replacement
