Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to Sliding Door Inner Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the sliding door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 320005  Size: SH
  4. Remove the control rods and cables form the sliding door lock.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.

  6. Object Number: 320023  Size: SH
  7. Remove the sliding door lock screws.
  8. Remove the sliding door lock form the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 320023  Size: SH
  1. Install the sliding door lock to the door.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sliding door lock screws to the specified fastener tightening sequence.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped.

  7. Install the control rods and cables to the sliding door lock.
  8. Install the sliding door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  9. Install the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to Sliding Door Inner Trim Panel Replacement .
