Makes 🢒 Oldsmobile 🢒 1998 🢒 Silhouette 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console 🢒 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure sensor.

    4. Object Number: 82225 Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 82225 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil pressure switch.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  2. Install the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Install the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
