  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the passenger pretensioner yellow 2-way connector located under the front passenger seat.
  3. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the passenger pretensioner yellow 2-way connector located under the front passenger seat.
  4. Connect the passenger side air bag yellow 2-way connector located under the front passenger seat.
  5. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the passenger side air bag yellow 2-way connector located under the front passenger seat.
  6. Connect the driver pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (2) located under the driver seat.
  7. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the driver pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (2) located under the driver seat.
  8. Connect the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector (1) located under the driver seat.
  9. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector (1) located under the driver seat.

  11. Connect the passenger frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (1) located behind the RH insulator panel.
  12. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) to the passenger frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector located behind the RH insulator panel.
  13. Install the RH insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Passenger Knee Bolster Panel in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  15. Connect the driver frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (2) located at the base of the steering column.
  16. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) to the driver frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
  17. Install the LH insulator panel. Refer to Insulator Panel in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  18. Install the SIR Fuse to the IP fuse block.
  19. Staying well away from both air bags, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  20. 17.1. The AIR BAG warning lamp will flash seven times.
    17.2. The AIR BAG warning lamp will then turn OFF.
  21. Perform the SIR Diagnostic System Check if the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described.
