Automatic Level Control Inflator Air Switch Replacement Long Wheel Base and HVAC

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 187175  Size: SH
  1. Remove the ELC fuse.
  2. Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever inboard.
  3. Remove the inflator control access panel retainers.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the inflator switch (5).
  5. Remove the switch from the inflator control panel by depressing the retainers on the inflator switch (5).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 187175  Size: SH
  1. Install the inflator switch (5) to the inflator control panel (snaps into place).
  2. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the inflator switch.
  3. Install the inflator control access panel retainers.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the inflator air valve opening cover by pushing the lever outboard.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  7. Install the ELC fuse.

Removal Procedure
