INFORMATION ON REPLACEMENT OF PASS KEYS

SUBJECT: INFORMATION REGARDING REPLACEMENT PASS KEYS

MODELS/YEARS: ALL 1990-92 WITH PASS KEY -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The process of obtaining electronic key codes can be confusing if the 2 digit electronic code was not recorded at pre-delivery inspection or the vehicle was delivered by another dealer. When it becomes necessary to make a new key one of the following will apply;

- For 1992 vehicles sold by your dealership the 2 digit code is located in the line of asterisks near the top of the new car invoice, issued after October 1991.

- Prior to 1992 models the 2 digit code can be secured from the Zone Office during working hours.

- When the key code information is not available in your own dealer files, you may contact Cross County Motor Club for the information.

- If unable to obtain the code as above it will then be necessary to interrogate the system as instructed in the current Eighty-Eight, Ninety Eight or Toronado Service Manuals.

Important: ---------- It is essential that you stock, at the very minimum, one of each of the 15 special pass key blanks containing the pre-coded chips. This will minimize the delay of reproducing a key once the proper codes have been obtained.
