EXCESSIVE HEAT ON DRIVERS RIGHT FOOT-UPPER LEFT SIDE

SUBJECT: EXCESSIVE HEAT ON DRIVER'S RIGHT FOOT - UPPER LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE IS COLD (REPLACE HEATER OUTLET)

MODELS: 1991-93 BUICK PARK AVENUE 1992-93 BUICK LESABRE 1991-93 CADILLAC DEVILLE 1991-93 OLDSMOBILE NINETY EIGHT 1992-93 OLDSMOBILE EIGHTY EIGHT 1992-93 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE

CONDITION:

SOME OF THE MODELS LISTED ABOVE MAY EXHIBIT EXCESSIVE HEAT ON THE DRIVER'S RIGHT FOOT WHILE LITTLE HEAT IS DELIVERED TO THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.

CAUSE:

INAPPROPRIATE DUCTING OF HEATED AIR TO FLOOR.

CORRECTION:

AN UPDATED HEATER OUTLET WILL HAVE TO BE INSTALLED TO CORRECT CUSTOMER CONCERNS. THIS DUCT WILL MORE EVENLY DISTRIBUTE THE AIR FLOW TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.

REMOVE -

1. RH SOUND INSULATOR.

2. HEATER OUTLET.

INSTALL -

1. UPDATED HEATER OUTLET, P/N 25617775.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE TABS ON BACK OF DUCT FULLY SEAT INTO SLOTS IN AIR DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY.

2. RH SOUND INSULATOR.

PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
