Headlining Trim Panel Replacement Buick

1. Remove the front door weather-strips.
2. Remove the rear door weather-strips (2).
3. Remove the center pillar trim (3). Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
4. Remove the upper rear quarter panel trim (1). Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .



5. Remove the windshield garnish molding (1). Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
6. Remove the sunroof opening closeout lace, if equipped.



7. Remove the sunshades (1). Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
8. Remove the assist handles, if equipped. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement



9. Remove the coat hooks, if equipped.
10. Remove the interior lamps.
11. Remove the fiber optic cover, if equipped.




Notice: Use care when removing and installing the headliner. If reusing the headliner lay the headliner down flat on a clean surface. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

Important: Five to six patches of hook and loop material secure the headliner to the roof. In order to avoid tearing the fiberglass substrate, carefully separate them. Recline the seat back and position the seat as far rearward as possible.

12. Remove the headliner (1) through the right front door.

Notice: Use care when removing and installing the headliner. If reusing the headliner lay the headliner down flat on a clean surface. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.




1. Install the headliner (1) through the right front door.



2. Install the coat hooks, if equipped.
3. Install the assist handles, if equipped. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement



4. Install the sunshades (1). Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
5. Install the interior lamps.
6. Install the fiber optic cover, if equipped.



7. Install the windshield garnish molding (1). Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
8. Install the sunroof opening closeout lace, if equipped.



9. Install the upper rear quarter panel trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
10. Install the center pillar molding (3). Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
11. Install the rear door weather-strips (2).
12. Install the front door weather-strips.

Headlining Trim Panel Replacement Pontiac/Oldsmobile

1. Remove the front door weather-strips (2).
2. Remove the rear door weather-strips (2).
3. Remove the center pillar trim (3). Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
4. Remove the upper rear quarter panel trim (1). Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .



5. Remove the windshield garnish molding (1). Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
6. Remove the sunroof opening closeout lace, if equipped.



7. Remove the sunshades (1). Refer to Sunshade Replacement .



8. Remove the assist handles, if equipped. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
9. Remove the coat hooks, if equipped.
10. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
11. Remove the interior lamps.
12. Remove the fiber optic cover, if equipped.

5. Connect the electrical connectors.
6. Install the interior lamps.
7. Install the fiber optic cover, if equipped.



8. Install the windshield garnish molding (1). Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
9. Install the sunroof opening closeout lace, if equipped.



10. Install the upper rear quarter panel trim (1). Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
11. Install the center pillar molding (3). Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
12. Install the rear door weather-strips (2).
13. Install the front door weather-strips (2).
