Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 387182  Size: SH
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the screw from the armrest hanger plate, if applicable.
  3. Remove the front door armrest hanger plate.
  4. Remove the speaker attachment, if applicable.
  5. Remove the water deflector.
  6. Peel the water deflector off of the inner door panel.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Proper sealing is necessary in order to prevent water entry into the door and possible damage to inner door components.

  1. Align the water deflector to the door.
  2. Smooth out the wrinkles in the water deflector.
  3. Press the outer edges of the water deflector in order to fasten the water deflector to the door.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the armrest hanger to the door with the screw and nut.
  6. Tighten

    1. Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
    2. Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  7. Install the upper hanger plate with the plate fastener.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the speaker attachment, if applicable.
  10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
