  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the engine coolant level switch connector.
  3. Start the engine.

Is the low coolant indicator still lit?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Measure the voltage between the low coolant switch connector terminal A (BLK/WHT) and terminal B (PNK).
  3. Does the measured voltage approximately equal the specified value?

12 V

Inspect CKT 68 (YEL/BLK) for a short to ground.

Is there a short to ground in CKT 68?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to IP Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Repair CKT 68 (YEL/BLK) for a short to ground. Refer to Repairing Damaged Wire Insulation in Wiring Systems.

Inspect CKT 239 (PNK) for an open or high resistance.

Was a problem found in CKT 239?

Inspect CKT 251 (BLK) for an open or high resistance.

Was a problem found in CKT 251?
