  1. Disconnect the suspect door jamb switch connector. Refer to schematic.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the driver information center (DIC) DOOR AJAR indicator remain illuminated?

Inspect for a short to ground from the instrument cluster to the suspect door jamb switch. Refer to the appropriate Instrument Cluster Analog Schematic:

Was there a problem with the suspect door jamb switch CKT?

Replace the suspect door jamb switch. Refer to the appropriate Instrument Cluster Analog Schematic:

Repair the open or short to ground in the suspect door jamb switch circuit. Refer to Repairing Damaged Wire Insulation in Wiring Systems.
