Did you perform the Interior Lights System Check?

  1. Disconnect the suspect door lock actuator C1.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between the following appropriate door lock actuator connector cavities:
  3. • LH front: cavities A (TAN) and D (BLK)
    • RH front: cavities D (BLK) and A (TAN)
    • LH rear: cavities A (LT BLU) and D (BLK)
    • RH rear: cavities D (DK BLU) (Buick) or D (LT BLU) (Oldsmobile/Pontiac) and A (BLK/WHT)

Do all of the courtesy lamps turn on?

Replace the suspect door lock actuator.

Is the door lock actuator replacement complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Inspect the following circuits for an open:

    • LH front: CKT 126 (TAN)
    • RH front: CKT 49 (BLK)
    • LH rear: CKT 49 (LT BLU)
    • RH rear: CKT 49 (DK BLU) (Buick) or (LT BLU) (Oldsmobile/Pontiac)

Was an open found?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the faulty circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Inspect the following circuits for an open:

    • LH Front: CKT 1250 (BLK)
    • RH Front: CKT 1250 (TAN)
    • LH Rear: CKT 1250 (BLK)
    • RH Rear: CKT 1250 (BLK/WHT)

Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Was an open found?

Repair the open in CKT 1250 (BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Replace the body control module (MALL). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the MALL Module replacement complete?
