Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Stationary Seatback

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 176222  Size: SH
  3. Remove the seat back nuts.
  4. Grasp the bottom of the seat back and swing it upwards.
  5. Lift the entire seat back upwards to unhook it from the vehicle.

  6. Remove the seat back from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176222  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back to the vehicle.
  2. Hook the top of the seat back to the vehicle.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the seat back nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .

Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Split Folding Seatback

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat back anchor nuts.

  3. Object Number: 176352  Size: SH
  4. Swing down both halves of the rear seat back.
  5. Remove the seat back striker bolts.
  6. Remove the seat back cables from the trunk.
  7. Remove the seat back from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Important: Make sure the rear split folding seat back cables are not pinched between the seat back and the vehicle.

  1. Install the rear split folding seat back to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear split folding seat back striker bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back striker bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Swing up both halves of the seat back.
  6. Install the seat back anchor nuts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back anchor nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  9. Install the seat back cables to the trunk.
