Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 295337  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum control assembly.

  4. Object Number: 295340  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector from the vacuum control assembly.

  6. Object Number: 295343  Size: SH
  7. Remove the vacuum control assembly mounting screws.
  8. Important: Pull the control solenoid straight down to release the tab from the slot in the HVAC module case.

  9. Remove the vacuum control assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295343  Size: SH
  1. Align the tab to the slot in the HVAC module case, then push up to seat the control solenoid.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the vacuum control assembly mounting screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the vacuum control assembly screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the vacuum harness connector to the vacuum control assembly.

  6. Object Number: 295337  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the vacuum control assembly.
  8. Install the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
