Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 295302  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 295327  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  6. Important: The blower motor resistor opening is slotted as access is extremely limited.

  7. Loosen both forward blower motor resistor screws.
  8. Remove the rear blower motor resistor screw.
  9. Remove the blower motor resistor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295304  Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor resistor.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear blower motor resistor screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten all blower motor resistor screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the blower motor resistor to blower motor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 295302  Size: SH
  7. Connect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  8. Install the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
