Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the engine mount strut with the engine mount strut bracket at the upper radiator support.
  3. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  4. Raise and suitable support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  5. Remove the right (rear) lower engine mount nuts.
  6. Remove the left (front) lower engine mount nuts.
  7. Remove the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Use the engine support fixture in order to raise the engine.
  10. Raise and suitable support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  11. Remove the power steering cooler pipe bracket. Reposition the power steering cooler pipe for access.

  13. Remove the right (rear) engine mount bracket bolts.
  14. Remove the right (rear) engine mount and the engine mount bracket from the vehicle.

  15. Object Number: 293964  Size: SH
  16. Remove the right (rear) upper engine mount nuts.
  17. Remove the engine mount bracket from the right (rear) engine mount.
  18. Inspect the right (rear) engine mount bracket.
  19. Inspect the right (rear) mount. Refer to Engine Mount Inspection .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine mount bracket to the right (rear) engine mount.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the right (rear) upper engine mount nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the right (rear) upper engine mount nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  5. Install the right (rear) engine mount and the engine mount bracket.
  6. Install the right (rear) engine mount bracket bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the right (rear) engine mount bracket bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  8. Install the power steering cooler pipe bracket. Install the power steering cooler pipe.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Lower the engine using the engine support fixture.
  11. Raise and suitable support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  12. Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  13. Install the left (front) lower engine mount nuts.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the left (front) lower engine mount nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  15. Install the right (rear) lower engine mount nuts.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the right (rear) lower engine mount nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18. Remove the engine support fixture.
  19. Install the engine mount strut and the engine mount strut bracket at the upper radiator support.
  20. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
